As a Privacy Specialist, you will operate in a full time role focused on managing privacy impact assessments and providing advisory support under relevant legislation. This profession requires at least three years of experience along with problem-solving and communication skills to effectively address privacy incidents and enhance the Privacy Office's initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive privacy impact assessments and provide recommendations
• Advise on privacy legislation and manage consent-related inquiries
• Act as a subject matter expert on privacy practices
• Support investigations into privacy incidents and complaints
• Develop and implement privacy training programs for staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in health, policy, IT, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant privacy experience
• Knowledge of PHIPA and FIPPA legislation
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Privacy designation (CIPP/C) preferred
