Shape Indigenous representation in media with CBC's Atlantic Advisor role in St. John's or Halifax. This hybrid position is key in implementing the National Indigenous Strategy.
In this permanent role, you will support Indigenous engagement and content growth, focusing on collaboration with Indigenous communities. Your primary responsibilities include facilitating participation and leading initiatives to promote Indigenous talent in broadcasting. You will provide strategic counsel and help create relevant content that resonates with Indigenous audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Indigenous creator engagement in the Atlantic Region
• Lead regional contributions to the National Indigenous Strategy
• Implement Indigenous Pathways and INSPIRE mentorship programs
• Build community engagement projects for shared perspectives
• Collaborate with Indigenous Office teams for outreach alignment
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Solid knowledge of Indigenous culture in the Atlantic region
• Proven facilitation experience within Indigenous communities
• Experience in content creation in media advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
