Join the City of New Westminster as a Planning Assistant within the Planning & Development team. This position focuses on providing superior customer service and administrative support for urban planning projects.

In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for inquiries related to development, showcasing your organizational skills while supporting various planning functions. The right candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment. Help shape the city's future through your contributions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage internal and external inquiries regarding development projects
• Assist Planning Division with citywide and neighborhood projects




• Set up and track development application files
• Process simple applications including sign permits
• Prepare letters and correspondence for external contacts

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 with technical training or relevant experience
• Knowledge of municipal regulations and policies
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Skills in MS Office software
• Robust organizational capabilities and multitasking skills
