As we grow, we need engineering managers to help us structure the organization, improve technical processes, provide career mentorship, guide the product roadmap, and manage projects.We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model, or U.S. and Canada for our remote working model.Candidate ProfileExperience building production-level code with a large user base, robust design structure, and rigorous code qualityDegree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architectureProficient in C++ or a similar programming languageExperience managing small engineering teamsPassionate about running teams, mentorship, and coachingPosition ExpectationsManage a team of software engineers, ensuring their success and career growth, and facilitating their technical workMake coding contributions to the team’s projects as neededProvide feedback on architecture and design of new featuresHelp eliminate technical barriers, coordinate dependencies, and focus on overall team happinessContribute to planning for organizational growth, including resource allocation, hiring plans, and project assignmentsSet team culture by exampleEstimate delivery timelines and communicate project execution to upper managementSuccess MeasuresIn three monthsMeet regularly with all team members and learn their interests, strengths, and development areasContribute to a project slated for the next major version of the MongoDB server,
