As a member of the Issues Management Unit, you will handle inquiries referred by the Minister of Families and gather data on child deaths. Your role encompasses providing social work services across provinces, contributing to legal claims, and delivering Post-Adoption services. This position requires high-level report writing and the ability to analyze complex information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage public inquiries and complaints for child welfare
• Analyze child death data, writing detailed reports
• Facilitate inter-provincial social work services for families
• Oversee Statements of Claims against child welfare
• Offer Post-Adoption services to adoptees and families
Requirements:
• MSW or BSW degree in Social Work, or equivalent
• Relevant experience in child and family services
• Understanding of First Nation, Métis, and Inuit issues
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Robust acumen in political context and MS applications
