This role at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia requires a Bachelor’s Degree and relevant mental health experience. You will engage with children and youth facing mental health challenges and work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support. Your experience in acute care settings will be invaluable as you deliver trauma-informed interventions and integrate best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough client assessments and develop tailored care plans
• Work collaboratively with medical staff and families
• Facilitate psycho-education and support during hospital stays
• Apply trauma-informed practice and harm reduction principles
• Navigate complex systems to ensure effective care delivery
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with youth in mental health
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Food Protected certification
• Active BC driver's license
• Strong communication and crisis management skills
