In the role of Underground Safety and Training Coordinator, you will lead safety initiatives for the Galleon Gold Project. This position emphasizes the importance of mentoring and compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies. You’ll conduct site orientations, employee training, and incident investigations to maintain operational excellence and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote Dumas’ health and safety policies
• Conduct workplace inspections and incident investigations
• Coordinate new employee orientations and training
• Maintain training records and competency assessments
• Support safety meetings and hazard assessments
Requirements:
• 10 years of underground mining experience
• 2 years in safety or training roles within mining
• Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner certification
• Train the Trainer certification is required
• Strong communication and leadership skills
