Title: Nurse Coordinator - CDC, TB (INTERNAL)

Salary: $102,490 - $125,736 per year

Contract: Temporary Term – Until July 15, 2027

Hours: .4 FTE (15 hrs./wk.) regular hours 8am-4pm Mon-Fri (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location: Alberni Office- Metro Vancouver, located on the unceded and ancestral territory of the x?m??k??y??m (Musqueam), S?wx_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s?lilw?ta? (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).

About the Role
As Nurse Coordinator, you will be in partnership with First Nations communities and organizations, FNHA and other government and non-government partners and stakeholders, plan, coordinate, and evaluate clinical public health services in assigned areas of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) programs and initiatives for First Nations communities in the British Columbia Region.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be

Education





Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Successful completion of approved training in public health nursing or communicable disease control (CDC) training.

Occupational Certification

Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)

Skills / Experience

Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in public health nursing or communicable disease control, specifically in the field of TB.

Travel to community, knowledge of public health data systems (PANORAMA) an asset.

Plan and coordinate activities within the First Nations TB program such as TB screening, case management, contact investigation, and implementation of high incidence TB community strategies with community.

Participate with other CDC team members, TB Clinical Nurse Educator, and CD Nurse Specialist for TB/Surveillance in planning, implementing, coordinating, and conducting orientation and in-service development.

Coordinate and lead TB nurse advisors in case management for all clients receiving treatment for TB disease and TB infection. Coordination of duties including BC Center for Disease Control (BCCDC) liaison with physician services, pharmacy, laboratory, and community health nurses.

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours.
