Position Overview
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the General Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Receivable, Epicor-CMS ERP transactions, reconciliations, and general accounting functions. The successful candidate will be organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Daily/Weekly Activities:

Update cashbook and post banking transactions in Epicor-CMS ERP

Run weekly Aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables

Post journal entries into Epicor-CMS ERP

Review AP cheque-runs and wire payments for accuracy

Prepare timely and accurate bank and GL account reconciliations

Post AR invoices and customer payments in Epicor-CMS ERP

Assist the Controller with account analysis and ad-hoc queries.

Month-End Activities:

Prepare and post month-end journal entries in a timely manner

Reconcile intercompany accounts accurately

Prepare accruals and prepayment schedules and post related entries

Assist the Controller with financial statement preparation and analysis

Qualifications & Skills





Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience

Robust knowledge of Canadian GAAP

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with Epicor-CMS ERP

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
