Position Type: Freelance / Project-Based Contract

Classique Ink and Aesthetics is looking for a creative videographer and video editor who can take a project from the initial idea through to the final video.

This is not simply a camera-operating or editing position. We are looking for someone who understands concept development, visual storytelling, script development, filming, editing, sound, pacing, and artistic direction.

The selected candidate will create cinematic and thoughtful content centred around tattooing, fine art, artist stories, community events, and workshops.

Creative Videographer & Video Editor

Responsibilities

- Develop original concepts for short-form and long-form videos
- Turn initial ideas into clear visual storyboards
- Plan scenes, interview questions, shot lists, locations, and production requirements
- Film high-quality tattoo, art, documentary, promotional, interview, and event content
- Direct people naturally and respectfully during filming
- Edit videos for Instagram, YouTube, websites, presentations, and campaigns
- Add appropriate sound design, music, subtitles, colour correction, and basic motion graphics
- Organize and safely manage footage and project files
- Adapt one filming session into multiple pieces of content
- Collaborate closely with the artist while contributing independent creative ideas

Requirements





- A strong videography and editing portfolio
- Experience creating artistic, cinematic, documentary, or narrative content
- Ability to develop concepts rather than only follow instructions
- Understanding of storytelling, script development, storyboards, or visual treatments
- Strong knowledge of composition, lighting, sound, and camera movement
- Skilled editing skills using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable software
- Ability to create both vertical and horizontal video formats
- Reliable communication and respect for deadlinesComfortable working around tattoo procedures, art studios, interviews, and community events

Experience filming artists, tattoos, fashion, performance, interviews, or cultural projects is considered an asset.

Compensation

This is a project-based freelance position. Compensation will be determined separately for each project based on its scope, complexity, production requirements, and expected deliverables.

The project fee will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
