The University of Toronto Scarborough seeks a Staff Sergeant to manage an operational unit within Campus Safety under the Assistant Director's guidance. This full-time role involves directing Corporals and Constables while providing a reliable emergency response and enforcing campus safety regulations. Candidates will contribute to a community-focused safety approach, enhancing security and support for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage rotating Campus Safety staff and operations
• Ensure 24-hour emergency response and safety enforcement




• Collaborate with the university community on safety initiatives
• Perform duties of the Assistant Director as needed
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in law enforcement or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in law enforcement
• 2 years of supervisory experience required
• Strong report writing and verbal communication skills
• Valid Class G driver’s license and special constable status preferred
