- Coordinate and maintain the company's Health & Safety Program.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario health and safety legislation.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and mandatory safety training.
- Maintain employee training records and certifications.
- Conduct and document workplace inspections.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Manage WSIB documentation and claims administration.
- Coordinate Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) meetings and records.
- Maintain Health & Safety manuals, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Ensure PPE requirements are implemented and monitored.
- Assist management during Ministry of Labour inspections and audits.
- Promote a strong culture of workplace safety throughout the company.
Office & Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll preparation.
- Prepare and send customer invoices.
- Prepare quotations and proposals for clients.
- Maintain employee and client files.
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails.
- Perform data entry and document management.
- Assist with scheduling and general office administration.
- Support management with various administrative projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in Health & Safety, office administration, HR, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act is considered an asset.
- Experience with WSIB administration is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
- Valid Ontario driver's license with reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification.
- WHMIS, or other Health & Safety certifications.
- Experience in the commercial cleaning, facilities, or service industry.
- Experience using payroll or accounting software.
