Oxford Learning Brampton Springdale is seeking part-time teacher in our learning centre. If you love working with students, enjoy teaching, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview

As a Teacher at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with High School students in Math and Sciences. Our Teachers do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best – teaching!

Position Requirements

- Availability during after-school and evening hours (4:00/5.00 pm - 8:00 pm)
- Commitment for School Year is a MUST.
- In-person instruction
- No relocation package provided
- Ability to commute to the designated location
- Mandatory vulnerable sector screening

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Final-year university students with tutoring experience will be considered
- Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of Grade 11-12 Ontario curriculum.

Experience





- Some experience teaching/tutoring at High School Grade 11-12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities

- Teach up to 3 students
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
- Maintain a friendly and qualified demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)

Salary

$21 - $24 / hour (depending upon experience and qualifications)

Schedule

- Monday to Thursday evenings
