Support women in their career journeys at the Womens’ Employment Resource Centre as a Full time Employment Consultant. Help break barriers and build confidence with tailored employment support.
As an Employment Consultant at WERC, you’ll assist women in setting and achieving their employment goals. This role emphasizes one-on-one guidance, coaching, and the creation of action plans aligned with individual aspirations. Collaborate with community resources to ensure comprehensive support for clients, promoting self-sufficiency through empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop personalized action plans with clients
• Facilitate access to training and community programs
• Communicate with ODSP and Ontario Works Case Managers
• Coach clients in resume building and interview preparation
• Ensure ongoing support and adjustments to action plans
Requirements:
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Relevant experience in employment services or social support
• Familiarity with community resource networks is an asset
• Current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check required
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
