Manufacturing Engineer, Nefab Canada

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing by managing efficiency, equipment, innovation, and process projects.

Main Responsibilities

Support innovation projects alongside the Production Manager

Champion continuous improvement opportunities in manufacturing

Develop new processes and manage program launches

Research new equipment and processes

Project manage the rollout of new products in the manufacturing sites

Support the maintenance team with troubleshooting equipment failures

Conduct time studies throughout operations to validate labour requirements and drive process improvement

Develop manufacturing standards for costing purposes and develop other process standards (ex. Pallet standards, packaging standards, nailing standards, gluing standards, etc.)

Comply with local regulations

Adhere to ISO 9001 and 14001 Policies and Procedures

This position is located in Peterborough and you will report to the Production Manager.

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalency in combination of education and experience

2-5 years’ manufacturing experience in a technical role

Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings/documents

Ability to train others on existing or new processes

Detail-oriented and Conscientious

Ability to troubleshoot and innovate in a hands-on environment

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment

Solid ability to Project Manage
