Senior Technical Project Coordinator – Platform Delivery & AWS Modernization - Tier1 Banking client

Location: Toronto, Hybrid

Overview:

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary delivery intermediary across the internal development team, the platform vendor, and multiple business stakeholder groups.

Gather and consolidate milestones, status updates, blockers, dependencies, decisions, and action items into a clear, current delivery view.

Facilitate prioritization discussions across business teams with competing objectives; challenge incomplete information, negotiate practical outcomes, and escalated unresolved issues.

Support the mainframe-to-AWS modernization by coordinating application dependencies, data-migration readiness, environment readiness, cutover planning, rollback preparation, and legacy decommissioning activities.

Maintain Jira delivery tracking, RAID logs, action and decision logs, schedules, and concise executive-ready reporting in PowerPoint and Excel.

Facilitate selected QA activities, including test readiness, environment availability, defect triage, business validation or UAT coordination, and release sign-offs.

Track vendor deliverables and commitments, follow through on open items, and ensure internal and external teams remain aligned on scope, sequencing, and timelines.

Coordinate release and cutover readiness, including production transition, contingency planning, post-release follow-up, and operational hand-offs.

Recognize practical AI-tool use cases that may improve delivery coordination or platform processes, while applying appropriate human oversight.

Must Haves:

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups with competing priorities and to facilitate firm, constructive trade-off discussions.

Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, application architecture, and the application-development lifecycle.

Experience coordinating full-stack development teams and third-party vendors in a complex enterprise environment.

Practical understanding of application dependencies, data migration, environments, testing, release readiness, cutover, rollback, and legacy decommissioning.





Hands-on proficiency with Jira, PowerPoint, Excel, and RAID-log management.

Strong written and verbal communication, executive-level organization, attention to detail, and disciplined follow-through.

Nice to Have:

Prior experience as a technical business analyst, systems analyst, QA lead, or in another role that required direct engagement with application engineering.

Hands-on coordination experience with AWS application modernization, data migration, or complex production cutovers.

Banking or financial-services experience, particularly within a large Tier 1 banking environment, is considered an asset but is not required.

Experience supporting an enterprise platform used by several business lines or product groups.

Understanding of enterprise AI tools and the ability to distinguish realistic use cases from low-value or high-risk applications.
