We are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting the design and development of water and wastewater treatment systems . This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong CAD expertise who can work independently while contributing to multidisciplinary project teams. You will play a key role in producing high-quality design documentation that supports manufacturing, installation, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Develop accurate and detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for water and wastewater treatment systems, including general arrangements, skid/module assemblies, piping layouts, and Balance of Plant (BOP) designs.
Produce 2D fabrication drawings, spool drawings, piping isometrics, and bills of materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing and installation.
Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams to coordinate designs and resolve technical issues.
Communicate proactively regarding project progress, schedules, technical challenges, and design changes.
Support design reviews and incorporate feedback to deliver high-quality engineering documentation.
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Contribute to the successful execution of projects by meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of CAD design experience (or equivalent)
Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS (Routing, Weldments) and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D .
Experience with Balance of Plant (BOP)
or skid design in the mechanical design of water/wastewater skids or plants.
Solid knowledge of drafting standards.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify effective solutions.
Experience acting as a technical resource for more junior designers.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Revit/BIM experience.
Background in Food & Beverage, Municipal, or Industrial sectors.
CSWP (Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional) certification.
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated with a high sense of ownership over project execution and quality of work
Collaborative team player
Expected Compensation Range
50K-80K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications , in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.
Canadian Experience Requirement
No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
