Take the lead in human resource management as a Human Resource Officer for the Government of the Northwest Territories. This position in Fort Smith involves strategic recruitment and employee engagement initiatives.

Reporting to the Superintendent, Southern Region, the HR Officer provides vital HR services that include recruitment, labor relations support, and performance management assistance. You will significantly contribute to workforce development through your coordination of programs aimed at attracting and retaining talent within the public service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all recruitment and selection activities
• Advise managers on staffing strategies and hiring practices
• Ensure adherence to GNWT policies and best practices




• Facilitate labour relations meetings and provide support
• Promote career development and training for employees

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
• Two years of relevant HR experience
• Knowledge of HR policies and practices
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Experience with employee recognition initiatives
