Become a crucial part of the YUHLU community as an Outreach & Wellness Support Worker based in Port Alberni. This full time role focuses on advocacy, outreach, and systems support for Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ families.

You will engage in community outreach, relationship building, and the navigation of health and social services while supporting restorative justice efforts. Your work will empower individuals facing challenges within the justice and health systems, ensuring they receive culturally appropriate support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outreach to build relationships with isolated members
• Navigate health, social, and justice systems for community members
• Provide advocacy for culturally safe services




• Coordinate restorative processes with Elders and community supports
• Document client interactions and program outcomes accurately

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Social Work or similar field
• Background in community service or outreach roles
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence is essential
• Experience with Indigenous populations and their needs
• Must pass a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector

Support the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ community by using your outreach skills and cultural knowledge to navigate health and justice systems.
