Canadian Light Source Inc. is seeking a Scientist or Associate Scientist for its Mid-IR beamline team. Candidates should possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in physical sciences or engineering. Experience with advanced optical systems and Python programming will enhance your application. You will play a crucial role in providing user support, conducting data analysis, and ensuring safe operation of experiments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide user support to general users and CLS staff
• Setup beamline and endstation for experiments




• Train users in beamline operation and sample preparation
• Analyze complex beamline or technical issues
• Aid in beamline upgrade and maintenance projects

Requirements:
• Relevant undergraduate or Master's degree for Associate position
• Master's or Ph.D. for Scientist role
• Experience with infrared spectroscopy techniques
• Basic programming skills in Python
• Demonstrated aptitude for collaborative research
