Business Administration Clerk for federal government client, downtown Toronto.

Job Type: Temporary.

Existing Vacancy: Yes.

Initial Term: From August to August .

Compensation: $20 per hour.

Regular Work Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, not including an unpaid .5 hour lunch break, Monday to Friday (37.5 work hours per week).

Work Location: 100% onsite at Client's downtown Toronto office, on PATH, and near Union and GO Stations.

Responsibilities Summary:

Provide administrative and clerical support to senior management and team.

- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, arrange travel, prepare meeting agendas, take meeting notes, and follow up on action items.
- Prepare, edit, format, and proofread documents, reports, presentations, emails, and other business materials.
- Organize and maintain electronic records and files using the organization's document management systems.
- Manage incoming emails and correspondence, ensuring documents are shared and filed appropriately.
- Assist with budget tracking, expense claims, invoices, payment requests, and other financial administrative tasks.
- Support contract administration by preparing and organizing documentation and tracking contract-related activities.
- Assist with research, special projects, and other team initiatives as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Highschool Diploma, with post secondary education in business administration or similar discipline an asset.

Preferred Work Experience: Approximately 1+ years of comparable office administration experience.





Technical and Language Skills Requirements:

- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams (will be tested).
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail (will be tested).
- Proficiency with SharePoint an asset.
- Proficiency with SAP an asset.
- Familiarity with budget tracking and financial administration.
- Strong English written and reading comprehension skills, including satisfactory business writing skills, spelling, grammar, proofreading and syntax (will be tested).
- Fluency in French is an asset (all candidates presented as Bilingual will complete a written and verbal French fluency evaluation).

Additional Requirements:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
- Ability to work 100% onsite, abiding by organization's health and safety policies
- Ability to promptly provide a minimum of 2 qualified employment references upon request who are available to speak with either Marberg or Marberg's client.
- Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
- Ability to complete a satisfactory Federal Government security check, including a Fingerprint Check, prior to assignment start. Please note that Marberg will reimburse for the cost of the security checks upon confirmation of assignment start and submission of approved expense receipts.
- Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
- Satisfactory Background Checks, Technical and Interpersonal Skills Evaluations, and Employment References as required.
