Position details: TITLE OF POSITION: Home Support Worker

Employment Details

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time (30 – 40 hours per week)

WAGES AND ADVANTAGES: $21.00 to $24.50 per hour (to be negotiated), 100% MSP and WCB Coverage

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As Soon As Possible

Skills and Employment Requirements

- Completion of a training program in elderly care or a related field; OR
- Elderly care or household management experience is an asset; AND
- First Aid and CPR Certificates.

Main Duties

- Administer medications
- Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk)
- Launder clothing and household linens




- Mend clothing and linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Provide companionship
- Provide personal care
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook
- Maintain clean and safe work environment

Safety and Security

Criminal Record Check and Medical Examination are mandatory.

Other Notes

- Position is for LIVE-OUT only
- Work schedule will be split shift or will be arranged weekly based on the work schedule of the employers
