Support cemetery operations as an Assistant Backhoe Operator at Urgel Bourgie cemeteries. Safely operate machinery and assist with daily activities while collaborating with other staff members.
As an Assistant Backhoe Operator, you will report directly to the Cemetery Supervisor. This role requires you to operate various machines, assist with interments, and maintain equipment. You'll be trained to cover the Backhoe Operator's duties and perform essential tasks like cremations and administrative follow-ups when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate tractors and occasionally a Kubota excavator
• Follow procedures for interments and memorial installations
• Maintain machinery and assist in crypt placements
• Clear snow on weekends according to schedule
• Perform any other related cemetery duties
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence
• Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge
• Very positive physical fitness
• Experience with excavators is a plus
• Initiative to work independently and with the public
