Safran Landing Systems is a subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems, a world leader in landing gear and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to the manufacturing of major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350, and Boeing 787 models. It features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.

The missions are as follows:

Lead the industrialization process and product manufacturability with the required robustness, respecting technical specifications and cost/quality/delivery/HSE objectives.

Lead the realization, implementation of all production means and their validation (PVI-PPAP)

Lead the modification and optimization processes of the manufacturing chain

Lead industrial equipment investment projects

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Lead the multidisciplinary team assigned to the industrialization project to meet program requirements defined during the Industrialization Mandate of the industrialization project according to the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process

Define the project scope, roles and responsibilities of each member of the multidisciplinary team

Be responsible for meeting objectives (safety, quality, cost), you will plan to meet the deadlines of the industrialization project

Coordinate, lead and manage risk analyses (FMEAs)

Manage industrial milestones by risk and build industrial validation

Establish the action plan for validating product and/or process characteristics in the Industrial Validation File

Use risk analysis and statistical methods

Establish a schedule and reporting tools and ensure reporting to operational managers and project clients





Participate as needed in co-engineering and ensure Product / Process consistency by challenging the definition and range to be compatible with the Quality/Cost/Delivery objectives of the mandate (DEV and MAN processes)

Lead the multidisciplinary team to implement an investment project for industrial equipment

Requirements:

University bachelor's degree in aeronautical, mechanical or materials engineering.

1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering

Technical skills:

Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, inspection, special processes, assembly)

Knowledge of CAD/CAM software Catia V5, Smarteam, Delmia V6 and PDM

Mastery of methodological tools such as FMEA

Economic knowledge (calculation of investment profitability, cost evaluation, target cost design)

Knowledge of problem-solving tools (5 Whys, 8D, …)

Project management

Time and priority management

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Excellent communication, both oral and written, in French and English to interact with other Safran sites and partners.
