Reporting to the Manager of Research Ethics, this role is pivotal for guiding researchers through ethics applications. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in clinical trial coordination, strong judgment, and the ability to navigate complex ethical regulations. You will also assist in educating colleagues about ethical practices within research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and process ethics applications and renewals
• Guide applicants on ethics compliance and procedures
• Support REB Chairs in assessing application risk levels
• Organize REB meetings and ensure proper documentation
• Create educational materials for research compliance
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree essential; advanced degree preferable
• 2-5 years' experience in health systems research
• Understanding of ethical conduct in research required
• TCPS 2: CORE certification needed
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
