Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to manage and lead a team of unionized employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment while ensuring that operational goals are met efficiently. This role requires a motivated leader who can drive performance through effective coaching, recognition, and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage AM dock operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
Supervise and lead a team of unionized employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Achieve operational objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard
Monitor and manage employee performance in accordance with operational standards and performance indices
Continuously improve operational standards through regular performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and recognition
Communicate and implement company policies, procedures, and programs to ensure adherence and alignment across the team
Prepare and complete various reports and documentation related to operations and employee performance
Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership
Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Post-secondary education is preferred but not mandatory
Experience
5 years of management experience, ideally within a unionized environment
Valid Class 5 (G) license or equivalent
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated experience with following and enforcing Health & Safety and Labour Canada regulations and guidelines
