This role requires a solutions-oriented professional with a passion for helping communities advance climate action. You will work directly with municipalities and community partners to identify climate challenges and improve resilience through practical solutions. Leveraging your knowledge of clean energy systems and community engagement, you’ll develop funding applications and coordinate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support communities in implementing climate change projects
• Develop customized work plans for local initiatives
• Conduct research on adaptation and mitigation strategies
• Build relationships with stakeholders and rightsholders
• Lead community engagement activities as primary contact
Requirements:
• 1-2 years experience in climate change or renewable energy
• Diploma in sustainability, environmental studies, or related field
• Understanding of climate adaptation principles
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Valid Nova Scotia driver’s license
