Job Summary

Steady grooming salon with existing clientele seeks a Pet Groomer with minimum one year experience. Current groomer is leaving, so we are looking for someone to take over their clientele.

Start Date

Mid to Late August 2026

Hours

35-40 hours per week; Saturdays required.

Compensation

Commission based: 65% to groomer, 35% to salon.

Responsibilities

The salon supplies grooming table, tub, high‑velocity dryer, and products. Groomer supplies own tools, scissors, clippers, etc. Groomer is responsible for bathing, drying, clipping, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated dips, and ear cleansing as requested. Groomer performs specialized grooming using techniques that vary with hair type, coat, breed, and owner instructions.



Groomer helps run the business tasks so owners have more time to pamper pets.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year skilled grooming experience.
- Proficient in grooming techniques for a variety of dog breeds.
- Experience providing bathing, drying, clipping, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated dips, and ear cleansing.
- Ability to perform specialized grooming techniques tailored to hair type, coat, breed, and owner instructions.
- Adaptable and customer‑focused.
- Entrepreneurial drive with ability to increase clientele.
- Own insurance coverage.
