Step into the role of Police Records Specialist with the Oak Bay Police Department, where you’ll oversee essential police records and support public service operations. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
As a Police Records Specialist, you will manage complex operational records systems, carry out quality assurance, and administer Police Information Checks. Your responsibilities will include coordinating court documentation and updating databases, all while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal standards. You will also be the first point of contact for front-counter services, enhancing community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain comprehensive operational records and systems
• Process all court-related documents and CPIC entries




• Administer and oversee Police Information Checks
• Ensure compliance with relevant privacy legislation
• Provide training on records management processes
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education with two years relevant experience
• Familiarity with police record systems like PRIME and CPIC
• Robust organizational skills for deadline management
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently and in teams
