As an Archaeological Field Director, you'll oversee field crews in Northeast BC, conducting mapping, cataloging, and impact assessments. This full-time role offers an engaging prospect to apply your field experience and make meaningful contributions to culturally respectful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor archaeological field crews locally
• Map and catalog traditional use and archaeological sites
• Direct reconnaissance surveys and impact assessments
• Collaborate closely with First Nations communities
• Prioritize safety while managing field operations
Requirements:
• Recognized Field Director or Supervisor status
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Archaeology/Anthropology
• Over 1 year of field experience under BC permit
• Hold current First Aid & H2S Alive certifications
• Class 5 Driver's License and Canadian Citizenship/PR
