Explore advanced battery technology at the University of Cambridge as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. This full time position focuses on defect engineering in lithium and sodium-ion battery cathodes.
In this role within the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry, you will collaborate closely with Prof. Dame Clare P. Grey's team. Your tasks will include designing cathode materials and analyzing their electrochemical efficiency through various techniques. Experience in battery assembly and key electrochemical measurements is essential for this research.
Key Responsibilities:
• Synthesize cathode materials while controlling defect types
• Analyze defects' impacts on battery performance
• Employ advanced characterization methods for insights
• Work collaboratively with international research partners
• Design in situ methodologies for experimental setups
Requirements:
• PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
• Demonstrated publication record in relevant domains
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with independent research capabilities
• Experience with characterization methods is a plus
