Join as a Youth Care Specialist at Wood Street Campus, delivering care and supportive programming to children in a 24/7 treatment setting. This role is critical for promoting well-being and community connection.
At the Department of Opportunities and Social Development, you will support daily care through individualized and trauma-informed practices. Solid relationship-building skills are key as you engage with children and youth, guiding them through challenges and transitions in various settings while documenting their progress and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish respectful, professional relationships with youth
• Develop and implement tailored recreation and life skills programs
• Aid in creating treatment plans and progress documentation
• Assist youth during appointments and transitions
• Use crisis intervention strategies safely and effectively
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent experience
• Exceptional judgment during dynamic situations
• Strong writing skills for documentation
• Familiarity with technology platforms is a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license
