BASE MANAGER – MEDICINE HAT (MHT)

The Base Manager isresponsible for the day-to-day operational activities for the base ensuring alloperations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.The Base Manager addresses equipment management and oversees personnel issuesand ensures operations budget is managed effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure thatTrican's core value, "Safe equipment and operations" is thepriority in all activities
- Interviewingand hiring recent employees. Disciplinary action, evaluations, reviews,terminations, as well as employee welfare concerns at the base
- Ensure adherence to WorkplaceSafety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd,government, as well as client policies and regulations
- Ensure job quality, safetyrequirements, and standard procedures coincide with Trican companystandards, government legislation, and customer requirements
- Responsible for incidentreporting and incident investigation
- Manage alloperational costs in base to ensure spending is within budget and isnecessary




- Approve invoicesfor base up to a maximum amount set by the VP of Fracturing
- Perform facilityinspections and ensure follow up on deficiencies is completed
- Field visits arerequired

Experience& Skills:

- High schooldiploma is required
- Valid Driver’sLicense
- Minimum of 5years experience in Base Operations with Field Experience
- Excellentcommunication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadershipand managerial skills
- Skilled inproblem-solving techniques
- Able toprioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines
- Skilled in supervision whileexhibiting motivation, coaching, delegation, and training
- Admirable interpersonalskills conveyed in a pleasant and professional manner when interactingwith employees, management, and customers
- Ability to adapt to changingworking conditions
- Extensive technical andpractical knowledge of operations, products, company policies, andgovernment regulations
- Ability to workindependently, at a fast pace, and produce quality work
- Ability to be organized andfollow a systematic method of performing a task
- Proficient withMicrosoft Office desktop applications
