The Opportunity: As an Employee Benefits & Retirement Analyst, you are responsible for the analysis and execution of client group benefits renewals, claims experience reporting, carrier marketing deliverables and other ad hoc client reporting and deliverables upon request. You will work to create accurate and concise client reporting and deliverables to enhance client retention and procuration. Full-Time career working out of our Calgary Fisher Street branch location.
What You’ll Do Collect and analyze plan data in preparation for client meetings, including claims history updates, annual rate renewals, ASO reconciliations, financial analysis, and other ad-hoc projects as required
Prepare client facing reports such as renewals, marketing, and mid-term experience reports
Conduct plan market reviews, including production of Request-For-Proposal package, analysis of insurer quotations, and preparation of the report for the client
Peer reviews, providing feedback on work for team members
Maintain and update client files
Utilize partner software to generate Benchmarking Reports
Communicate regularly with insurance carriers
Manage monthly workflow and deliverables with various brokers,



liaise with key project stakeholders following Service Level Expectations
Other projects and responsibilities as required by brokers and account managers
What We’re Looking For Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Ideally 1-5 years in the group insurance industry
Knowledge of group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plans is considered an asset
Knowledge of Canadian Benefits Industry
Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute to a team environment
Strong time management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
Pro‑active and a self‑starter with a keen attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectivity in both written and verbal
Works well in a rapid paced, client‑focused workplace
Proficiency in windows‑based computer systems
