At the Ministry of the Solicitor General, you will provide crucial rehabilitative services to both remanded and sentenced offenders at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre. The ideal candidate should possess skills in group facilitation, knowledge of criminogenic risk factors, and a robust grasp of the justice system. Collaboration with community agencies and effective communication with multi-disciplinary teams are key aspects of success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate rehabilitative programming for offenders
• Organize resources and market programs effectively
• Write case notes and manage program tracking
• Assist in discharge planning and scheduling providers
• Participate in training and supervision of new staff
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social sciences or related field
• Experience with community agencies in discharge planning
• Knowledge of court processes and criminogenic risk factors
• Proficiency in offender data systems
• Strong interviewing and communication skills
