Lead your own HAZMAT team at GFL, managing emergency responses and agile projects. This role focuses on safety, training, and building client relationships while fostering team motivation.
In this leadership role, you will oversee emergency responses for various situations including rail, marine, and road incidents. Your responsibilities will include planning project execution, training technicians, and managing resources effectively. You will uphold GFL’s safety standards and ensure operational readiness of all equipment used in emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to HAZMAT emergencies across multiple environments
• Perform chemical transloading and neutralization safely
• Organize resources for both preventive and emergency situations
• Maintain documentation and operational readiness of all equipment
• Lead safety initiatives and training events for the team
Requirements:
• Class 5 license; Class 1 or 3 an asset
• Experience with hazardous materials preferred
• Physically fit for protective gear requirements
• Willing to travel and adapt to on-call needs
• Previous HAZMAT training is advantageous
Demonstrate leadership, safety, and technical skills in managing HAZMAT projects with GFL.
