In this professional role at the Alex Fraser Research Forest, you will directly manage silvicultural prescriptions and oversee essential health management activities. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with teams, managing budgets, and fostering relationships with stakeholders, including First Nations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry, adaptability, and exceptional leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct planning and development of silviculture activities
• Ensure legal compliance for silviculture operations




• Advise on harvesting timings and log quality
• Assist in preparing a multi-million dollar budget
• Coordinate educational activities and workshops
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in forestry or related field
• At least four years of practical forestry experience preferred
• Eligibility as a Skilled Forester in BC
• Knowledge of a variety of silvicultural systems
• Proven written and oral communication abilities
