Support individuals in need as a Direct Support Worker with the Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver. This casual position focuses on enhancing the lives of residents with developmental disabilities through meaningful daily interactions.
The role calls for compassionate individuals, either recent graduates or experienced workers, to assist residents in achieving their personal goals. You will be responsible for meeting emotional, social, and physical needs while ensuring quality care in a community-based setting. Your independence and problem-solving skills will be crucial to supporting residents effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with daily living tasks
• Meet residents’ social and recreational needs
• Work collaboratively within a support team
• Ensure residents receive appropriate care
• Identify and address individual challenges
Requirements:
• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Human Services
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Criminal Record and TB Test Clearance
