Pursue your PhD focusing on exploration geochemistry with Natural Resources Canada’s Geological Survey of Canada in Winnipeg. This research opportunity targets surficial geochemical studies over LCT pegmatites.
The position is part of a Research Affiliate Program, seeking candidates proficient in hydrogeochemistry and biogeochemistry. Occurring from September 2026 to August 2029, students will engage in cooperative research, including laboratory work at the University of Manitoba and fieldwork in 2026 and 2027. Regular meetings with the research team will enhance your academic and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate geochemical footprints of LCT pegmatites
• Conduct laboratory analyses at the University of Manitoba
• Attend collaborative meetings in Winnipeg and Ottawa
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
• Participate in summer fieldwork during 2026 and 2027
Requirements:
• Must reside in Canada as a citizen or resident
• Full time student status in relevant academic program
• Background in hydrogeochemistry or biogeochemistry
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork
