Suncor is looking for a Senior Materials and Corrosion Engineer to support projects across Canada and the U.S. Bring your extensive expertise in materials performance and corrosion to a thriving energy company.

In this senior role within the Corporate Asset Integrity team, you will provide critical engineering support for upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Your knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and materials performance, especially in complex asset environments, will be essential. Collaborate on key integrity management strategies that ensure the long-term reliability of crucial operating assets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide engineering support during routine operations and major projects
• Assess materials performance, risk, and damage mechanisms




• Develop risk-based integrity and inspection strategies
• Lead failure investigations and recommend repair solutions
• Maintain technical standards and training materials

Requirements:
• 12+ years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline
• Qualified Engineer registration with APEGA
• Experience in oil and gas industry settings
• Knowledge of mining and mineral processing is a plus
