What is the opportunity? Reporting to the Manager, Trade Operations, This position is responsible to manage the day to day document verification relating to Letters of Credit (LC). This team is located in a high profile, high risk and critically time sensitive transaction environment, supporting a global client base which includes Retail and Commercial Banking and Capital Markets.
Job Description Reporting to the Manager, Trade Operations, This position is responsible to manage the day to day document verification relating to Letters of Credit (LC). This team is located in a high profile, high risk and critically time sensitive transaction environment, supporting a global client base which includes Retail and Commercial Banking and Capital Markets. The incumbent will be responsible for checking LC documents for discrepancies and monitoring for compliance/compliance parties. Additionally, the incumbent is accountable for operationalizing client care strategies, maximizing transaction processing efficiency/effectiveness, problem resolution.
What will you do? Responsible for verifying Import, Export documents under Letters of Credit and SBLC Demand Claim as per internal and external rules.
Responsible to advise discrepancies to appropriate parties through SWIFT/ Portal /Fax/mail message
Responsible for dispatching documents as per L/C instruction and/or client’s exception instruction
Overall responsibility for client satisfaction relative to the handling of LC document verification
What do you need to succeed? Must Have 3+ years’ experience of document checking under Letter of Credit
Good knowledge of Trade Products

Nice to Have Working knowledge of JTPS / Trade 360
CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)
