We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Coordinator to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of a Quality Management System (QMS). This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with quality standards, project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices across construction and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and verifications in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and project specifications.
Monitor fabrication, installation, testing, and completion activities to ensure compliance with customer, code, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records.
Support management of hold points, witness points, and required quality documentation.
Review subcontractor quality documentation and inspection plans.
Maintain calibrated inspection equipment and associated records.
Identify quality concerns and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.
Assist with internal and external audits, project closeouts, and quality improvement programs.
Participate in project meetings and provide quality-related input.
Promote a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Quality, Engineering, Construction, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 2 years of quality control, inspection,
or quality assurance experience within construction, manufacturing, industrial, or related industries.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and specifications such as ASME, CSA, CWB, or similar industry standards.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic quality management systems.
Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Audit or inspection experience within ISO-based quality management systems.
Inspection certifications (e.g., CWB, TSSA, or equivalent) are considered an asset.
Experience supporting quality programs in industrial construction or fabrication environments.
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
Ability to work in field environments and wear required PPE.
Comfortable performing inspections in elevated, confined, or active construction/worksite areas.
