Safeguard utilities at the University of Toronto Mississauga as a Shift Engineer. This role involves operation, maintenance, and emergency response for building utilities across the campus.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager Utilities & Elevator Services, you'll manage all utilities equipment and services on campus, ensuring safety and efficiency. You'll conduct inspections, minor repairs, and emergency interventions while collaborating with contractors when necessary. This role requires commitment to effective operations during rotating shifts, ensuring reliable service throughout the campus.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine mechanical checks and equipment maintenance
• Conduct emergency repairs across laboratories and classrooms
• Monitor Building Management System operations closely




• Respond to alarms and trouble calls during shifts
• Maintain logs of equipment operations and breakdowns

Requirements:
• High School diploma with 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certification
• Minimum one year of operating engineer experience
• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Robust communication and record-keeping abilities
