Join the Schulich Heart Program as a Temporary Full time Physiotherapist focusing on CVICU care. This role enhances recovery for cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patients.
As a vital member of the interprofessional team, you will deliver person-centered assessments and interventions while closely following patients from ICU to discharge. Your responsibilities will include participating in quality improvement initiatives, effective supervision of students, and sharing your expertise with healthcare providers to enhance team practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive assessments for cardiology patients
• Participate in quality improvement processes and evaluations
• Engage in supervision of physical therapy students
• Make follow-up recommendations to community resources
• Conduct educational sessions for ongoing professional development
Requirements:
• M.Sc.PT or similar qualifications
• Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
• Expertise in collaborative interprofessional practice
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to manage the physical demands of the job
