Full Time Permanent Classroom Teacher position. Duties to commence September 8, 2026.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Education
NL Teaching Certificate - Level IV or higher
Appropriate Training Methods
Equivalencies will be considered
SALARY AND INCENTIVES:
Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and perks contained within the agreement.
Please note, the following incentives are PRO-RATED if a teacher works less than the full contract awarded or on periods of unpaid leave.
A taxable $2040.00 I solation Allowance paid to all Labrador teachers on a b-weekly basis. Please refer to Article 24.02 of the Collective Agreement.
Subsidized housing units may be available in Labrador City and Wabush.
A Labrador Allowance and Travel Allowance calculated based on school location and dependants. The bonus is prorated if a teacher works less than a full school year or if not full time. Please follow the link for details.
For those that need to relocate, a one time only round trip travel claim to travel to the school community and back to your home location during the first year is available up to a maximum of $1700.00 . One travel claim is paid upon arrival to the community through the travel claim system and the other paid at the end of the school year when you arrive home. Pro-rated repayment may be required if break in the contract.
Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.
Applicants without the required qualifications may be considered in accordance with Clause 37.01 (d) of the provincial collective agreement.
