Job Description Summary: The Financial Analyst supports manufacturing operations by providing financial analysis, cost accounting, inventory valuation, revenue recognition support, and month-end close activities. Working closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance leadership, this role ensures accurate financial reporting, develops product standard costs, analyzes manufacturing performance, and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability. This position offers the prospect to partner directly with manufacturing and supply chain leaders, influence operational decisions, explain financial results, improve financial performance, and recommend improvements within a global organization.
Essential Functions Complete month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations focused on Cost of Goods, Inventory, Revenue/Deferred Revenue and Provisions.
Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
Review problem products and investigate financial discrepancies.
Validate, develop and maintain annual standard costs for materials, labour, and overhead.
Maintain cost rollups in SAP.
Analyze manufacturing variances including:
PPV
Material usage
Labour
Overhead
Support new product costing.
Review inventory valuation and reserves.
Perform quarterly excess and obsolete inventory analysis.
Monitor work orders and close completed process orders.
Support WIP valuation.
Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure accurate product costing and revenue recognition.
Support forecasts for revenue, labour, and materials.
Investigate cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
Support internal and external audits.
Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives.
Improve reporting through SAP, Excel, Power BI, and Smartsheet.
Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education B.A. in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.
Finance/Accounting Designation is preferred.
Experience Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in finance or cost accounting
Manufacturing experience required; pharmaceutical or life sciences experience is an asset
Experience supporting operations or supply chain finance preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical skills in cost accounting, standard costing, manufacturing finance and inventory accounting.
Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, Advanced level excel is required.
Proficiency with Power BI and Smartsheet and Financial Modelling is an asset

Compensation The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $69,400.00–$104,050.00.
