Take charge of facility maintenance planning at the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo in this full-time, permanent Specialist role. Focus on project management, asset management, and continuous improvement.
As the Facility Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing maintenance schedules, utilizing advanced technology to ensure effective operations. Collaborating with stakeholders, your role will help uphold the zoo’s safety standards and optimize facility performance. You will play a key role in planning and executing facilities projects while also monitoring key performance indicators related to maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance and project operations
• Champion improvements in the computerized maintenance management system
• Prepare extensive time and cost estimates for various projects
• Oversee procurement and manage vendor relationships
• Develop and report on maintenance performance metrics
Requirements:
• Accredited qualification in Engineering Technology or related field
• At least 7 years in facilities maintenance & asset management
• Experience with project management methodologies
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of best maintenance practices
