Based at: Mucci Pac Ltd., Kingsville, Ontario
Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6 days per week including extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which will include Saturdays, and possible Sundays.
Position Summary The Production Repack Manager is responsible for leading all repack operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. This role oversees safety, production scheduling, resource allocation, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer specifications, optimize yields, and minimize waste.
Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer requirements for quality, specifications, quantity, and on-time delivery
Coordinate and supervise repack operations on the afternoon shift and provide coverage to other shifts as needed to support the business
Optimize labour, materials, and equipment utilization to maximize productivity and reduce costs
Monitor and improve key performance metrics including productivity, yields, waste, and quality
Develop routines that track productivity, yields, waste, and quality, while setting performance targets for the department. (Utilize Marco Systems and advance program as necessary)
Communicate and resolve all quality and production issues with appropriate team members, to include collaboration with internal departments that support production
Implement tracking systems and reporting processes (e.g. WMS, Famous or similar platforms)
Partner with Continuous Improvement and Implementation teams to enhance automation and workflow efficiency
Identify opportunities to reduce waste, particularly packaging materials (including plastics), and improve sustainability
Lead, coach, and develop a team, including supervisors, line staff, material handlers, and support roles
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and open communication
Support workforce planning, hiring, training,



and performance management
Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and other internal teams to address production and quality issues
Work with suppliers and equipment vendors to improve packaging and operational efficiencies
Ensure alignment of daily operations with broader organizational goals
Communicate with Purchasing Department regarding produce packaging material suppliers and equipment manufacturers to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all applicable Ontario regulations, including:
Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
Promote and enforce safe work practices and a strong food safety culture
Qualifications Completion of post-secondary education in a technical field is preferred or equivalent experience is required
5 + years’ experience managing or supervising in a fast-paced production environment
Strong understanding of production needs of produce
Ability to build and maintain a team, lead direct reports and repack employees over a 3 shift operation (inclusive of box making and material handling).
Ability to plan and organize the optimization of existing automated lines, and the start-up of new production automation lines
Proven ability to communicate in a transparent and concise manner to all levels of the organization in English
Strong knowledge of business management principles- budgeting, planning, resource allocation, human resources, and cost accounting
Strong knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, inventory,



and yield, to include the measuring, reporting and goal setting for the department
Knowledge of packaging material, and reducing packaging material waste, especially plastics
Strong MS Excel and MS Outlook skills
Knowledge of Famous software preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred
Physical Abilities Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
Must be able to lift material regularly up to 14 kg / 30 lbs; and occasionally up to 23 kg / 50lbs
Must be able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time
Must be able to work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ˚C / 55 ˚F
