Become a key member of Maple Leaf Foods as an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist. This role focuses on developing and maintaining OHS programs to ensure plant safety and compliance.

Join the Operations team to oversee health and safety at the Heritage Plant. You will assist in creating safe work procedures, managing risk, and enforcing compliance with safety legislation. Your in office involvement will be pivotal in training, hazard identification, and accident management for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Safe Work Procedures and hazard controls
• Enforce company safety standards and guidelines
• Maintain OHS metrics and documentation
• Design and deliver compliance training programs
• Conduct onsite safety audits and observations

Requirements:
• 3-5 years in H&S; roles, preferably in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards
• Experience with WSIB claims management
