JOB TITLE: Architectural Draftsperson

LOCATION: Unit 2, 2260, Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga, ON, L5N 6M6 (1 Vacancy)

JOB TYPE: Regular

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full time

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible

SALARY: $37.00 per hour

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 hours/Week

WORK SETTING: Office & On-site

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop and prepare architectural and engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches, design concepts, and project specifications.
- Operate computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software and related drafting equipment to prepare detailed technical drawings and construction documents.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, permit drawings, and construction documents for commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential projects.
- Revise and update drawings to incorporate design changes, client requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with designers,



architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, drawing revisions, and technical records throughout all stages of the design process.
- Review drawings for accuracy, quality standards, and compliance with applicable building codes, municipal regulations, and project requirements.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Completion of college program in related field is required.
- Minimum 7 months to 1 year of experience in related position is preferred.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
- Experience working with CAD, MS Office, MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows is an asset.
- Able to work independently and in a team, flexible, good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
